End Table Update

I’m not one to love dark colors in my home.

But 4 years ago, I was a different person. When my husband and I got engaged and started registering for things and buying furniture I was all into chocolate brown and red. Couches, bedding, rugs, curtains….

Have you seen my current house? Those colors are almost non-existent now.

IMG_0218Not that I hate those colors or think people who love them are crazy.

But I have found my (at least current) love- and that is light and airy. I love clean colors, colors that don’t box you in.

Hence the liberal use of grey, mint, and white in my home.

So 4 years ago I would’ve kept this end table as-is. I would have said, “dark wood, yes! It will look great next to my dark brown sofa.”

So this end table got a coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Duck Egg with light distressing.

IMG_0784And you know what? This end table would  look great next to my chocolate brown sofa now!
