Vintage Coffee Table Makeover

It’s a good thing when I want to keep what I paint.

That means I’m doing a good job.

IMG_0887Sure there have been times where I have gotten “experimental” and things didn’t turn out so great. Fortunately it still sold. But with the recent re-launch of the furniture biz I decided to go back to the basics.

So when I drool over a piece I know I’m headed in the right direction. If I smile while taking pictures and walk by it in our home to just admire it, I consider it a job well done.

Well this coffee table was one of those pieces.

From the start it looked awesome but a little scratched up.

IMG_0790But man this coffee table. I love the carved details on the legs. The shelf underneath. So pretty.

Add some ASCP Duck Egg paint on it and it starts looking beautiful.

IMG_0837Like I-like-you-so-much-I-wanna-hold-your-hand. Well really more like I-want-you-to-hold-my-drink. But you know.

A coat of my new favorite wax deepened the Duck Egg color and she just got prettier.

IMG_0894A light distressing brought out the lovely details on the legs.

IMG_0892I don’t know if whoever buys it will describe her in such words as I have, but she sure looks great.
