I live for a good before and after. It’s what this blog is all about. Giving old/forgotten/discarded things a new life. If this vintage waterfall dresser was a cat, it would’ve died 10 times.
It had one-too-many makeovers that made it look like an old crumpled paper bag. Fortunately, furniture, especially quality pieces like this dresser, has more lives than a cat. There was hope for this dresser. I couldn’t overlook the curved top or wooden casters. I was sold. I opted to mix my own paint color from Annie Sloan Chalk Paint’s Greek Blue and Old white for a lovely sky blue. I finished with a coat of wax. The hardware was in good condition but odd colors so I spray painted Oil Rubbed Bronze. Now this dresser is ready to make a statement. Instead of blending in to a tan wall this dresser begs to be noticed, as it deserves. It’s in the booth and ready for a new home! What do you think of this dresser? Have you been making over any furniture lately?
