Desk in Country Sage

I know I am onto something good if I want to keep what I buy or paint.

It is my goal to sell what I would want in my own house. And sometimes I love things so much I do keep them. Like this desk.

The desk started like this.

Simple, unassuming. Pretty turned legs. I decided to paint it in my chalk paint color Country Sage.

I lightly distressed around the high points. I love the aged look it gave the desk. A few light coats of Metallic Black (by Rustoleum) spray paint on the hardware and Trewax on the desk and this beauty was done.

Once it was all staged and looking amazing I knew I wanted to keep it. I fell in love with the warm color.

She is staying right here- replacing our herringbone console table, which moved to the entryway to replace our newly-painted console table in Picket Fence which will be sold. I love this new desk as a buffet/console table here because it is taller and deeper. The depth allows me to layer more decor on it.

More room for decor is always a good move in my book.

So that’s our pretty new desk/console table/buffet. I am trying to get another one like it to actually sell. Fingers crossed!

What do you think of it? Do you like it as much as I do?
