Hey they! I’ve been a little MIA lately.
We are working hard on flooring and I have just been resting and recuperating a bit from the busy-ness of winter at work.
I’ve also been dreaming up and working on a lot of various home projects that I can’t wait to share! I have several furniture pieces in the work this week too so I will have a full arsenal of posts.
Today I’m sharing this headboard I painted a few weeks ago:
I found this piece in a large warehouse when I went to buy the desk I painted Country Sage.
It’s a full-size headboard and footboard with rails. I love the lattice-work on it. There’s another side to pretty detailed pieces- and that’s that they take longer to paint. All those edges and nooks and crannies took quite a while to paint but it was worth it.
I used two coats of All Things New Interiors Chalk Paint in Morning Haze, my pale grey. I distressed lightly all over.
Since it was originally black, the details were accented perfectly by this contrast. I finished with clear wax and was done!
I know this bed will be perfect for someone as a classic, timeless piece that can match with any bedding. It is for sale for $150.
