A while back the hubs and I were hitting garage sales one morning and we came across this dresser:
A beautiful mid-century dresser in decent condition. The top is laminate, but the base is solid wood/veneer.
We bought it for $15. Fifteen dollars.
The drawers and sides were pretty scraped up so I decided to paint it.
I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Pure White. I didn’t paint the top or legs since they are in good condition and I like the contrast of the white and warmth of the wood.
We swapped this one out for the green dresser we used as our media console before. It was a little bittersweet to sell that dresser since we bought it when we were engaged, but we both love this new dresser!
I love the mid century lines, the clean color, and the size. It’s a little bigger which is great!
This dresser was a fantastic find and one we hope to hang onto for a long time. This is what I love about “junkin”- you get to find amazing pieces for good prices and swap things out as your style changes or so you can upgrade to higher quality pieces.
Have you been painting anything lately? Any great furniture finds?
